Nomad In Peru Making a Difference

At Nomad In Peru, we are passionate about giving back to the local communities of the Cusco region, supporting the families and villages that allow us to use their land for trekking and camping, and promoting locally owned and operated businesses. Each year, we organize numerous charity events for a variety of local communities. People living in the mountains often lack access to regular workshops on sustainable llama management and breeding.

This project aims to empower families dedicated to llama breeding; enhance the genetic quality of their herds; provide weaving and fiber-use training for women artisans; support the direct generation of income for herding families; and offer educational programs for children focused on environmental conservation and the cultural significance of llamas in Andean history. It also seeks to promote responsible experiential tourism, preserve the traditions associated with these iconic camelids, and ultimately attract more tourists seeking experiential and cultural activities.

Join us in making a difference! You can help support local communities and preserve a unique part of Andean heritage. We aim to raise funds and gather volunteers to build Llama Interpretation Centers in herding communities, giving visitors the chance to discover and celebrate the cultural significance of this extraordinary species. Your support can help keep these traditions alive for generations to come.

Our Social Project is a non-profit fund that offers a selection of excellent grassroots organizations to which you can contribute.
