Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu & Rainbow Mountain

Cuzco, located 3,400 meters high in the Andes, was the heart of the Inca Empire and remains Peru’s main tourist hub. Its streets feature colonial buildings built on original Inca stonework, reflecting the Incas’ remarkable architecture and urban planning. North of the city lies the Sacred Valley, a milder and greener region filled with Inca ruins, traditional markets, and rural communities, once favored by both Incas and Spanish settlers as a retreat. And as we venture further into the Sacred Valley, we find Machu Picchu, built in the 15th century and rediscovered in 1911, is the most iconic symbol of the Inca Empire. Perched high in the Andes at 2,430 meters, its temples, terraces, and stonework reflect the Incas’ advanced engineering and deep harmony with nature. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, it draws visitors from around the globe for its history, mysticism, and breathtaking beauty. Finally, we’ll wrap up our adventures with these incredible places, such as Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) rising over 5,000 meters, displays vibrant mineral-colored layers and offers stunning Andean views, including the sacred Apu Ausangate.
