DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: CITY TOUR IN CUSCO

Upon arrival at Cusco airport, our staff will be waiting to drive you to your hotel. You will have some free time to acclimatize to the altitude. In the afternoon we begin the City Tour. First, we visit the Cathedral located in the Main Square. Then, we walk to Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), where Inca and Spanish heritage come together. After this visit, we head outside Cusco to Saqsayhuaman and admire its impressive walls. Then we continue a few minutes to Qenqo, a mysterious ceremonial site. To finish the tour, we visit Pucapucara and Tambomachay. After finishing the visit, we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY FULL DAY

Breakfast at your hotel. Our transport picks you up (hotel must be within Cusco historic center). We start with Taray viewpoint for panoramic pictures of the Sacred Valley. Then, we visit Pisaq archaeological center and later the Pisaq handicraft market. We continue to Urubamba for a buffet lunch. After lunch, we head to Ollantaytambo to explore this important Inca site. To finish the day, we visit Chinchero archaeological center and handicraft market. At the end, we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 3: MACHU PICCHU FULL DAY

Breakfast at your hotel in Cusco. Pick up and transport to Ollantaytambo train station. Train to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we go to the bus station to board the bus to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. We enter Machu Picchu for a 2-hour guided visit. After the guided tour, we take the bus back to Aguas Calientes for a buffet lunch. Free time to visit the local handicraft market. At the scheduled time, we board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, our transport waits to drive you back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 4: HUMANTAY LAKE FULL DAY

Today we leave very early. We drive to Mollepata for breakfast, then continue to Soraypampa, the trailhead. From here, we start our hike to Humantay Lake (approx. 1 hour). Along the way, the guide will explain the landscapes. At the lagoon we take photos and receive explanation from our guide. After some time, we return to Soraypampa for lunch. Then we board our transport back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 5: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN FULL DAY

We leave the hotel early and drive towards Cusipata located south of Cusco. Upon arrival, we have breakfast. After breakfast, we continue one more hour to the starting point of our hike. We begin our hike to Rainbow Mountain (approx. 1 to 1.5 hours). At the top we take photos and enjoy the scenery. At the agreed time, we start our return. We arrive to Cusipata where we have lunch. After lunch, we return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 6: END OF OUR TRIP

Breakfast at your hotel. Free time for non-guided activities. At the appropriate time, our travel agency picks you up and drives you to the airport. Farewell.
